A Gorjuss Girl

Good evening everyone and a belated happy new year!!

I have a card to share today that I made for my niece, who turned 9 today. I had great fun colouring up this Gorjuss stamp using my Illustrator Pens from Spectrum Noir.

After colouring the image I cut her out and stuck her onto my A5 card with some silicone glue. I used the Diamond Press Fashion alphabet set and the traditional bunting die from Sara's Signature Birthday Party range.

Here are a couple more close up pictures of the coloured image along with a list of the colours that i used.

Skin = TN1, FS6, FS9, FS8 and FS3 for cheeks.
Hair = RB2, MB2, GY3, GY1 and LY1
Dress = LV3, HB2, HB1, and LV1
Books = TB4, TB3, TB1, RB2, MB2, MB1, LV3, HB2, HB1, LV1 FS7, RB1 and blender
Ground (coloured direct to the card base) = IG2 and blender

Thanks for stopping by today! :0)

Wedding card

Good morning....who turned the heat off!?! I'm frozen this morning!!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made back in September for my friends wedding.

For the base I used the 6"x6" Die'sire Romance create a card die, along with a colour wash background using the Pretty Pastels Aquatint set.

The sentiment is from Sara's Signature Together Forever, which was stamped onto vellum with gold embossing powder.

The card was embellished with Sara'sRoll up flower due for the small roses and Sheena Douglass' Rosy Outlook die and stamp.

I cut all the flowers out first coloured them with the aquatints and then used my Spectrum Aqua pens to stamp out the Sheena roses.

Here are a couple more pics...

I also had the pleasure of arranging all the flowers for Louise and Dave's wedding, which is where I got the inspiration for the card...especially the Miss Piggy roses which were the main flower, here are a few pics of the wedding flowers :0)

It was a busy couple of days but totally worth it!

Thanks for stopping by today :0)

The winner will receive this box frame, I've used a colorista page and some of Sara's signature dies and had the absolute pleasure of using the brand new Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens!!! Arrghh they are AMAZING!! Look at the beautiful colours!

As you can probably tell I kinda like them...the brush nib is superb and the the fine point nib was perfect for colouring the small detail on the artwork and just like all Spectrum Noir pens they blend beautifully. I can't wait for you to see them in action live on Hochanda!!

Here are a few pics of the project as I was making it :0)

I added a sneaky bit of glitter to the wording using the crystal clear sparkle pen :0)

I die cut all of my flowers using Neenah card stock and gave them a light base coat with Aqua tints ready to add more detail with the Illustrator pens benefiting from the use of both the brush nib and fine point.

The last task was to assemble the frame so I mat and layered the coloured artwork and then added the floral embellishments using some 3D glue gel.

Also thanks to everyone who stopped by and left some lovely my last post, I truly appreciate all the lovely comments that were left.

Today I thought I would share something a little different with you and give you all an idea of what to do with your larger finished coloured pages.

So for both of these projects I used the A4 Eastern Paradise pad. I just love these mandala patterns and could sit and colour them for hours...I did sit and colour them for hours! :0)

I took a couple of bare wooden trays and painted them both with white gesso to start with. I then used a good wet glue (collall tacky glue) and stuck the pages to the base of the trays. To finish and protect the pages I added a layer of modpodge.

So so simple to make but amazing when finished! I have decided I will be making more for Christmas gifts and using the trays instead of my usual hampers. I can colour the pages to suit whom I gifting them too :0)

You are still able to sign up to the online course here is the link to it...definitely worth signing up to, if you haven't all ready!! HERE

As I mentioned at the beginning of the post there is also a competition...whoop! And to be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is leave me a comment and i will randomly pick a winner!..you will be given the chance to win on all the the blogs you hop along to :0)
